Pediatrics
It has been said that children are one of the world's most valuable resources and are our best hope for the future. At the UAB Health Center Huntsville, our Pediatric Center physicians are committed to meeting the health care needs of children from newborns to early teens in a welcoming and informative environment. Our nurses and staff work tirelessly to make the clinic setting warm and inviting to children and parents so everyone feels as comfortable as possible during their visit. Our department provides a social worker who is available to assist families with coordination of care and crisis management.
We provide a wide range of pediatric services from birth through adolescence. Our services include newborn, sick child, well child and adolescent care. We provide school physicals, sports and camp exams; immunizations; routine tests and screenings; consultative services; diagnostic and treatment services for acute and chronic illness; hospital care and more. We also offer services for evaluating and diagnosing children with autism. Our standards of care are based upon the recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics.
